More about us
Our Rotary Club is part of Rotary International, a world-wide organisation with over 1.4 million members belonging to over 46,000 clubs in over 220 countries. Our club has been meeting weekly since 1992. Originally we were a 'breakfast club', meeting before work, but for some years now we have met at 7pm on a Monday evening. We are fortunate in being able to use a separate room at the Queen Victoria in Theydon Bois, which has good parking and is close to the tube station. We share a meal before proceeding to the business of the evening. Usually we welcome a speaker, who may be a member of Rotary or a representative of a local or international charity.
We have four main objectives:
- to enjoy each other's company
- to have fun
- to raise funds for local and international good causes
- to help our local community.
